Once again I have not been posting for a while. Things are progressing at the house, however, the changes are not totally evident to from the outside. Most of the work is going into rough plumbing and finishing the framing. We do have a new stairway and have made a ton of progress, it is just not all that visually impressive.

We ordered our kitchen cabinets this week which was a big step. We also went through and picked out all our appliances (for the most part). For the cabinets we went with Kraftmaid’s Venicia cabinets in a natural maple wood. This was the blondest wood we could find and looked much better than the Ikea stuff we had been looking at. It did end up costing more than the Ikea by almost three thousand dollars.

For appliances we want to get a Fisher & Paykel refrigerator and a Bertazzoni stove. In order to save money we may go with another stove, but the Bertazzoni is pretty good looking.
